Crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains. We stop for a short break in Ifrane or the small Switzerland where is the first ski resort in Morocco. We will be surrounded by amazing sceneries and landscapes of mountains and plains. A special species of native monkeys living in cedar woods, over 30 members in one family called Maggot monkeys near Azrou. We will have lunch break in Midelt, it celebrates the festival of apples every years. There is a big contrast of landscapes especially when we drive through Ziz Valley to get us to Erfoud, the gate of the Sahara, to Merzouga. You will enjoy the sunset on the way to the berber camp on the camel back in Erg Chebbi. A fascinating reddish dunes up 150 m high. Overnight berber camp.

Day 2 : Erg Chebbi – Erfoud – Tinjdad – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

A break on the way in Tinjidad. We will have lunch in Valley of Toudra. It is considered as one of the oldest valley in Morocco for caravan trading and where the first Moroccan money was made out of silver. A beautiful valley of 15 km of date palms ends up with a spectacular Gorges, mainly used for rock climbing and where local picnic in summer days. We embark on Dades Valley which has an astonishing rock formation made by million years of erosion. We spend the night in a nice local hotel by the river of Dades and surrounded by high mountains. Day 3 : Dades Gorges – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Telouet – Tizi-n-Tichka – Marrakesh

We drive through, Skoura, an old oasis of thousands palm groves and ancient Kasbahs berber forts. Then, we head to Ait Ben Haddou village we will go for a walk to visit this ancient village. An old village where a list of movie credits were made starting with the first movies “Lawrence of Arabia”, ”Jesus of Nazareth”, ”Gladiator” and the list is still going. It is also listed in UNESCO as a site of world heritage and national culture in 1987. We cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi-n-Tichka (2260 m alt). A spectacular windy road to Marrakech and the tour.
