“Small local agency, great customer service”

The agency is based in Marakech. It is a reatively small operation, but the quality of service is pretty good: personalized, our guide Abdul was very nice, profesional and great driver (the vehicle was also very good). They organized for us one 2-day excursión to the dunas (Erg Chebbi) and two transfers, between Marrakech and Ouarzazate. Abdul knew very well the sorroundungs (what to visit, where to eat…), very helpful along the way. Discreet and perdonable at the same time. Highly recommended experience.

“Awesome Day Trips!”

We booked 2 day tours with Authentic Berber Tours and we had an amazing time. I sent an email via their website and Samira quickly answered all my questions over email and the process was efficient and easy. We paid a deposit via PayPayl and paid the balance on the last day of our tour. Abdul was our driver and he was such a friendly, easy going guy. He was always on time to pick us up from our riad and was a safe and experienced driver, especially along the winding roads in the Atlas mountains. Abdul never hesitated to make a side stop for us to take a photo or to stretch our legs. The local guides in Telouet, Ait Ben Haddou, Ouzard falls were local, friendly and knowledgeable. We respect and value that Abdul, the local guides and the company focus on the tour and not on the shops. Thanks Abdul for giving us such a memorable experience of Marrakech and the surrounding country side.

“The highlight of our trip to Morocco!!!”

My husband and I went on a 3 day tour from Fes to Marrakech with Authentic Berber Tours and Abdul as our guide. I have to say it was the absolute highlight of our trip to Morocco! What a wonderful experience seeing the country this way! Abdul was super accommodating in stopping whenever we needed for photos and gave us so much information about Morocco, its past and present. By the sound of it it’s a small company with only a few cars and drivers and they really focus on service which shows in everything they do from the amazing hotels they chose for their guests, the nice new 4x4s they drive and the great guides they work with for the night in the desert. The scenery, the interesting conversations, the magical night in the desert and the personalized approach, everything was perfect! A special note to Abdul’s amazing driving skills! You can instantly tell he is very experienced and you feel very safe (seems like a silly thing to add but wait till you see some people driving in Morocco! :)) The only regret we have is not having more time to go on a 5 day tour. It would have been great to spend more time in the Sahara and drink more tea with the locals! If we are ever back in Morocco, we will absolutely contact Abdul to show us more of his beautiful country!

“Marrakech to Telouet & Ait ben Haddou 4×4 Safari”

I want to say what a marvellous trip this was. Samira in the office was very helpful in recommending which trip to take. Our driver Abdul was knowledgeable and entertaining, the local guides were excellent and the sites were just incredible. We were looked after for the whole day and we felt as though Abdul was a friend rather than a driver/guide. I would give the company six stars if only that was possible.

“Best Morocco Trip”

The most memorable of our holidays…The desert! It’s so engaging standing on sand dunes in the middle of nowhere in the desert and watch the sunrise. Camel trekking was also very interesting – the camels are so cute and the ride up and down and in between the dunes was quite an experience. Driver Abdul – super!!, always accommodating, pleasant and friendly. He is an authentic berber. Our trip from Marrakesh to Fes was magnificent. We have seen and experienced so many amazing things. I recommend Authentic Berber Tours to everyone who wants know Morocco and an adventure with the contrasts of the busy cities and the beautiful star filled peaceful Sahara desert. Five stars from me.

“Excellent tour gives insight into the beauty of Morocco.”

We booked this tour very last minute. We searched for a tour operator who visited the Atlas mountains and Aït-Ben-Haddou, with an included night in the Sahara. Many tour operators situated around Marrakesh were unavailable, so we went with “Authentic Berber Tours” who offered the full package. And as we soon realized, we couldn’t be any more lucky. Our two day trip was guided by Khalled, who speaks perfectly English, has a perfect knowledge about his country and he is an amazing driver as well. We visited the Atlas-Mountains as planned with a lot of interesting stops. Aït-Ben-Haddou was one of these beautiful places. The night in the Sahara was perfect, camel tours included.
This company gives Berber Tours. This means they give you information about Berber life, culture and agriculture. And they visit the places, landscapes and nature sights who are important for Berbers today and in history. The guides are Berbers themselves and are very connected to the region. Expect a lot of stops at beautiful sights combined with high quality coffee along the way served by locals. We ate fresh dates straight from palm-trees and visited a still inhabited Berber house in Aït-Ben-Haddou. These are some examples on the exclusives this company likes to offer. They truly support the local people which is great, because here tourism is really turned into the favor of the people who live there. Besides this, it has to be said that the Atlas Mountains, and it’s transition into the Sahara, are absolutely stunning. One of the most beautiful natural landscapes I ever saw. Sitting in a car was never this enjoyable.
Everything is possible for these guys, nothing is a problem. You can ask whatever you want, which is not evident in the country. So I learned a lot about Morocco and felt really fulfilled on multiple levels after the tour. I recommend this company to anyone, they will adapt to any of your needs and necessities and will give you a wonderful time.
